ipPulse v1.65 was
released on November 15, 2005.
It contains the following new items,
fixes and improvements over the
last version:
Changes
Fixed
a problem with sending emails to
pagers that was exceeding the 160
character limit. The message body
is now blank in that mode and there
are only the minimum header fields.
Reference Setup/Failure Alerts/Email
Setup/Send Failure Message in Subject
Line.
Added
an option to control the use of
SNMP v1 or v2c. See Setup/Secondary
Test/SNMP Setup Parameters.
Added
an option to change the date/time
strings shown in the Last PASS/FAIL
Times columns from long localized
format to short localized format.
The short version is now the default.
See Setup/Program Control/Appearance.
Added
an option to load a target list
file based on the command line.
This means that ippulse.exe c:\somelistfile.txt
will load the contents of that file
into the target list. The file may
be of the full target list format,
or it can be a list of IPv4 addresses
or hostnames, one per line.
Change
the SNMP Results Window from a 32k
character max Edit Control to an
unlimited character count Rich Edit
control to facilitate display of
long SNMP results.
Added
four new user defined OIDs.
Added
12 columns to display the first
item retrieved by the user defined
OIDs. The column headers are also
user defined.
Added
Find/Find Next to search for text
within the grid.

ipPulse v1.53 was released on June
21, 2004 (posted July 9, 2004).
It contains the following new items,
fixes and improvements over the
last version:
Changes
Fixed problem in Pager Setup/Test
pager. If the first phone number
was shorter than any other phone
numbers, the other phone numbers
were truncated to the length of
the first phone number. This only
affected testing a numerica pager.
Added new option to numeric pager
messaging. IP addresses of alerted
targets can now be sent to the pager.
This is done by supporting POCSAG
capable numeric pagers. Certain
non-numeric characters can be sent
as delimiter characters to represent
the periods between the octets in
an IP address: "E", "U", " ", "-",
"]", and "[". If 'none' is selected
no delimiter is sent.
Updated paging support with newer
source code.
Added button to delete Modem Log
from the Pager Setup window.
Added button to view Modem Log from
main window 'View Logs' button.
ipPulse v1.52 was released on June
10, 2003.
It contains the following new items,
fixes and improvements over the
last version:
Changes
Finally found source of obscure
problem that made ipPulse fail when
running as a service using service
wrapper programs. As a result of
this the minimize to taskbar tray
feature has been removed for now.
To disallow DNS queries for first
pass, you can set the 'Number of
Passes to Attempt Resolve' to zero.
Fixed this so it really works: SNMP
mibs can be added now by simply
copying the mib into the MIBS directory
and restarting the program.
